For many families, regardless of remodel plans, the garage must maintain its function as a storage room. Garage storage and organization is a top priority. A simple search of “garage cabinets San Diego” will provide give you a wealth of resources when it comes to purchasing and installing your cabinets. Unfortunately not many of these links are very helpful when it comes to making design decisions. I wanted to show off some garages that have nailed down their storage and organization.

Both of these images show garages that emphasize function without sacrificing design. The two different storage styles would actually work quite well in conjunction with one another. Things are moved from the floor to the walls maximizing space, and often used items are easily accessible. When developing a plan for your garage storage system, keep in mind not only how you want things to look, but also how they will be used. Another great tip from the second photo is to mount some of your cabinetry on the wall. This can allow you to place drawers so they can be accessed without stopping. Make sure that whatever railing or pegboard system you chose is rated to hold heavier objects before mounting.

Finally, for those of us who enjoy a bit of a dream we have the garage below. The rich wood of the cabinetry makes it seem like more of a decorative element than a storage solution. Nothing is out of place and the travertine tiles add opulence. Finally, who wouldn’t want the showstopper of the image? That car! Yes please!
